2 slices of bacon instead of 3?

Have you ever experienced going to a restaurant with a meal in mind that you fondly remember only to have you expectations dashed when the meal arrives without the same portion size that you remember.  So the marketing question is – should the restaurant skimp on the meal and charge the same amount or should they leave the portion size as it was (meeting previous expectation for the quality & quantity) and simply charge more. The waitress today literally told me their bacon was thicker therefore they were now serving two pieces instead of three.

Which way do you think the restaurant should go?
